Oval Backlit LED Anti-Fog Bathroom Mirror

A backlit mirror throws its light onto the wall behind rather than out at you, so the glass appears to float in a halo. The effect is considerably softer than front-lit illumination and it makes a small bathroom feel less enclosed, because the wall behind the mirror stops being a hard boundary. The oval shape does the rest of the work, softening a room otherwise made entirely of rectangles - tiles, bath, cabinet, door.

Two touch switches sit on the glass. One handles the light, the other cycles the color temperature between warm white, neutral and cool white, so the same mirror can give a soft warm light in the evening and a clean neutral light for shaving or makeup in the morning. A heated anti-fog element keeps the surface clear right through a hot shower instead of leaving you wiping it with a towel. The mirror can be hung horizontally or vertically, so one unit fits either a wide vanity or a narrow wall.

Three sizes are offered, and each ships from a United States warehouse. This is a hard-wired bathroom fitting and bathroom electrical work is regulated in most places: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before starting, confirm the unit's IP rating suits the zone you are mounting it in, make sure the circuit has appropriate ground-fault protection, and use a licensed electrician. Fix it only to a wall that can carry the weight.
