LumiLoop Rechargeable Pendant Light

A pendant that needs no wiring changes what a pendant can be. The LumiLoop carries its own rechargeable cell and hangs from a hook, a branch, a parasol frame or a shelf bracket, which means light can go where there has never been a ceiling rose and can be moved again tomorrow.

That makes it useful in sheltered outdoor positions as well as indoors. The aluminum body shrugs off damp air and the odd splash, but no certified IP or weather rating is supplied for it, so treat it as a portable light to bring in rather than a fixed outdoor fitting. Indoors it works as a reading light beside a chair, over a bedside with no outlet, or in a rental where drilling into the ceiling is not an option.

Touch dimming steps through the brightness range, from a low warm glow to a working level, and a full charge runs for hours at the lower settings. Charging is over standard USB. Bring it in from rain, keep the charging port dry and closed, store it indoors over winter, and unplug it once charged rather than leaving it on charge unattended overnight.
