Nordic Stepped Metal Pendant Light

The shape is a stack rather than a single form: a broad lower dome, a narrower step above it, and a brass-toned collar where the two meet. At a glance it reads as one small object; up close the stepping is what gives it a silhouette instead of a plain cone. The scale is deliberately small, which is why these are drawn to be hung in twos and threes rather than alone.

The shade is spun metal, offered in three matte finishes: black, white and atrovirens, a deep dark green. The brass-toned collar is left bright against all three. That pairing is the whole design - a flat colour and one warm metal tone, with no pattern to compete with whatever else is already in the room. The inside of the shade is pale, so the light leaving it is softened once before it reaches the surface below.

Because the fitting is small and the output is directed straight down, it works best low over a surface: a kitchen island, a narrow dining table, or a pair hung either side of a bed. Hung high in an open room it will simply disappear. Drop length is set at installation and it takes a standard screw-fit bulb. It is a hardwired fitting - isolate the circuit at the breaker panel first, and have a qualified electrician confirm the fixture's rated voltage before wiring it in.
