Gold Up and Down Wall Light

An up-and-down fitting throws light in two directions from one point, which produces the twin cones of light that have become the signature of modern hallway and stairwell lighting. It lights the wall rather than the room, and the wall does the rest.

That indirect approach is why it works beside a door or along a landing. There is no glare in anyone's eyes as they approach, but there is enough light to see keys, steps and the floor - which is the actual requirement, rather than illuminating the whole room.

Eighteen configurations are available across three sizes, three finishes and two color temperatures. This is an indoor fitting: it carries no weather rating and should not be installed in a bathroom zone, on a porch, or anywhere exposed to damp. It is a hardwired fitting - isolate the circuit at the breaker panel first, and have a qualified electrician confirm the fixture's rated voltage before wiring it in.
