Modern LED Swirl Table Lamp

The swirl lamp is a single continuous ribbon of light rather than a shade with a bulb behind it. The LED runs along the whole spiral, so the lamp is the light source and the light source is the sculpture, with no separation between the two.

That construction is why it works as well switched off as on. A conventional lamp is a shade waiting to be useful; this one is a form that holds its own on a shelf in daylight and becomes a glowing line at night. It is also why it stays so slim: there is no housing to hide anything in.

The output is warm and dimmable, low enough at the bottom of the range to sit beside a bed and bright enough at the top to work as a desk light. Because the LED is integrated there is nothing to replace, and it runs cool enough to touch. It plugs straight in and needs no assembly, and the weighted base keeps it stable on a narrow surface.
