Hasna SunRay Metallic Wall Lamp

The sunburst is one of the oldest decorative motifs there is, and it survives because it does something useful on a blank wall: the radiating rays draw the eye outward from a centre, which makes a single object feel like it occupies far more space than it physically does.

The Hasna executes it in metal, and the rays catch daylight along their edges during the day and glow at their inner ends once the concealed light behind the centre is switched on. The effect changes completely between afternoon and evening.

Two finishes are offered. The orange is the warm metallic one, which picks up daylight along the ray edges most strongly; the white is a plain painted finish that reads as quieter and sits closer to a pale wall. Used above a sideboard, over a fireplace or at the end of a hallway, it functions as artwork that also happens to light the wall. The output is ambient rather than directional; this is a feature piece, not a reading light. It is a hardwired fitting - isolate the circuit at the breaker panel first, and have a qualified electrician confirm the fixture's rated voltage before wiring it in.
