Up & Down Outdoor LED Wall Sconce

An up-and-down fitting turns the wall into the light source. Two beams leave the body, one climbing and one falling, and what you see from a distance is the pattern they draw on the brickwork or render rather than a bright point. Along a driveway or either side of a door the effect is architectural.

Because the LEDs are recessed at each end, there is no glare at eye level as you walk past, which matters more outdoors than indoors: an exposed exterior source dazzles you against a dark background and ruins your night vision on the path.

The housing is sealed at the seams for exterior use, but it is not supplied with a certified IP or weather rating, so have a qualified electrician confirm it suits the exposure of your position before fitting. Use exterior-rated cable and glands, and make sure the gaskets are correctly seated on reassembly. This is a hardwired outdoor fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before starting, and have a qualified electrician carry out the installation.
