Spherical Glass Wall Lamp

A sphere is the only shade shape that emits equally in every direction, and that is not an aesthetic claim but a geometric one. It is why a glass ball sconce has no bright side and no dark side, and why it stays comfortable to look at from anywhere in the room.

The contrast between the soft globe and the crisp bracket is the whole design, and neither element is asked to do more than that.

Practically, side lighting at face height is far kinder than light dropping from a ceiling, which makes a pair of these excellent flanking a mirror. Used at a bedside they free the table entirely. If installing in a bathroom, check the variant IP rating suits the zone. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel first, and use a qualified electrician if you are not confident with house wiring.
