Wheat straw is a plant-fiber composite that uses agricultural by-product in place of some of the virgin plastic a conventional box would use. It is sturdier and less brittle than it sounds, and it has a slightly matte, warm finish rather than the glossy look of molded plastic.

At 900ml (30oz) total it holds a genuine lunch rather than a snack, and the tiers pack down into a single compact stack for the bag home. Wash by hand rather than dishwashing unless the packaging states otherwise, since heat can warp plant-fiber composites, and check the packaging before microwave use. Dry all parts fully before stacking them away.
