FloraBelle Ruffled Waterproof Pinafore Apron

A pinafore apron solves the thing that makes neck-strap aprons tiring: there is no single band taking the weight on the back of your neck. The FloraBelle uses wide shoulder straps with a gathered ruffle along the top edge instead, so the load sits across both shoulders and the apron stays put through a long session at a counter or a stove.

The body is cut straight through the chest and gathered into a fuller skirt below, which gives you room to move without the fabric standing away from you and catching on drawer handles. Two deep front pockets are stitched into the skirt seam rather than applied on top, so they take real contents such as a phone, a towel or a pair of snips without sagging. A small embroidered detail at the chest is the only decoration.

The surface is waterproof, so splashes bead and run off rather than soaking through to what you are wearing underneath. Rinse it and hang it to dry rather than washing hot, since heat degrades the coating over time. It is not fire resistant, so keep it clear of stovetops, open flames and hot oven surfaces. Several plain colourways are available.
