Halo Nordic Gold Minimalist Wall Light

The Halo is a ring of light and almost nothing else. The LED is concealed within the band, so the circle glows along its whole circumference with no visible source and no bright spot anywhere on it, which is what makes the shape read cleanly from across a room.

Gold is the right finish for a ring. It catches ambient light on the outer face during the day, so the fitting is a defined object rather than a blank circle when it is off, and at night the warm metal edge and the warm light agree with each other rather than clashing.

The output is ambient rather than directional; this is a light that makes a wall look good and takes the harshness out of a room, not one to read by. Used as a pair or a group at staggered heights it becomes a composition. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before installation, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work if you are not confident with house wiring.
