Retro Loft Industrial Metal Pendant Light

Industrial pendants come from factories and workshops, where a spun metal shade existed to push light down onto a workbench and nothing else. That is still exactly what it does over a kitchen island: a defined pool of light on the surface, with the rest of the room left alone.

The construction is left visible. Exposed lampholder, plain suspension, no cover plate softening the join. That honesty is what lets it sit against brick, reclaimed timber or plain plaster without needing to coordinate with any of them.

The interior is finished pale so light reflects down efficiently rather than being absorbed by the shade. It takes a standard screw-fit bulb, and a clear filament bulb suits the reference while a frosted one reduces glare across a table. Drop length is adjustable at installation. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel first, and use a qualified electrician if you are not confident with house wiring.
