Industrial Cage Semi-Flush Ceiling Light

An open cage uses the ceiling as a canvas. Light escaping between the metal struts throws the cage's own geometry outward, so the fitting draws a pattern of lines across the plaster around it, and that pattern changes as you move under it.

Because nothing is enclosed, the bulb is visible and becomes part of the design rather than a hidden component. A clear filament bulb gives crisp shadow lines and leans into the industrial reference, while a frosted one softens the whole effect considerably.

Semi-flush mounting keeps clearance in a room with ordinary ceiling height while still letting light escape upward to lift the plaster above. Use a lower-wattage bulb to keep shadow edges defined and to avoid glare from an exposed source. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before installation, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work if you are not confident with house wiring.
