IP65 Waterproof Outdoor LED Wall Light

IP65 is the rating that matters for a wall light on an unsheltered elevation. It means the housing is sealed against dust entirely and against water jetted from any direction, which covers driving rain on an exposed wall rather than only the drips a porch has to deal with.

Aluminum is the right body material for that job. It does not rust the way steel does when a coating is eventually chipped, it sheds heat well enough to keep the LED running within its rated temperature, and a black anodised or powder-coated finish holds up to years of weather without chalking.

The integrated LED means no lampholder to admit moisture and no bulb changes up a ladder in winter. Use exterior-rated cable and glands throughout, and make sure the gaskets seat properly on reassembly, since an IP rating is only as good as the seal you leave behind. This is a hard-wired outdoor fitting: isolate the circuit first and have a qualified electrician carry out the installation.
