Mono Postmodern Metal Wall Lamp

The Mono is named for what it is: one form, one material, one gesture. A single piece of shaped metal fixed to the wall, with the light source hidden inside it, and nothing else added anywhere on the fitting.

Postmodern lighting made a point of treating a lamp as an object first and a light second, and this follows that logic. Switched off it reads as a small wall sculpture with a deliberate silhouette; switched on it emits from a concealed aperture, so there is still no bulb to see and the shape stays intact.

The light itself is soft and indirect, washing the wall around the fitting rather than pushing out into the room, which makes it a companion light rather than a primary one. Use it in a hallway, beside a bed or along a stair. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before installation, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work if you are not confident with house wiring.
