Nordic Macaron Color Pendant Light

Scandinavian design has a reputation for being beige that only ever described half of it; soft confident color has always been part of the vocabulary. The macaron palette here is exactly that: muted enough not to shout, saturated enough to actually register.

Color is what makes it useful in rooms where a plain white or black pendant would be the boring answer. Over a kitchen island it can pick up cabinetry, in a dining space a run of alternating tones gives the ceiling rhythm, and in a child's room a single one does the work of a whole decorative scheme.

The shade is a clean tapered form that throws a defined pool downward, so it lights a surface properly rather than only decorating the ceiling, and the interior is finished pale to reflect light efficiently. Drop length is adjustable at installation. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel first, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work if you are not confident with house wiring.
