Nordic Globe Glass Wall Lamp

A glass globe on a plain wall bracket is one of those forms that has outlived every trend it was part of. The reason is optical rather than stylistic: an opal sphere emits light equally in all directions, so there is no bright edge and no dark side, and the fitting stays comfortable to look at from anywhere in the room.

That makes it particularly good beside a mirror. Light arriving from the side at face height is far more flattering than light dropping from above, and a pair of globes flanking a dressing mirror removes the under-eye shadows that a single ceiling fitting creates. In a bedroom the same softness works either side of a bed.

The bracket is kept minimal so the sphere is the only thing you really see, and finishes are available to match the rest of a room's hardware. This is an indoor fitting: it carries no weather rating and should not be installed in a bathroom zone, on a porch, or anywhere exposed to damp.
