The diffuser face still spreads output evenly across the room with no visible dots or hot core, so this is a genuine main light rather than a decorative one you have to supplement with lamps. The facets sit around the perimeter, where they shape the silhouette without shadowing the light.

It is offered across a wide range of sizes, from small enough for a hallway to large enough to anchor an open-plan living room, which makes it practical to run the same fitting through a whole floor at different scales. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before installation, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work if you are not confident with house wiring.
