Stained Glass Dog Figurine Accent Lamp

Stained glass depends entirely on being lit from behind. Unlit it is a pattern of colored sections held by dark leading; lit, each section becomes its own small source, and the whole piece turns from an ornament into a lantern.

Applied to a dog figurine, that gives you an object that works twice. On a shelf in daylight the colored panels catch ambient light and the leading holds the shape clearly; after dark the same piece glows warmly and does the job of a night light in a hallway or beside a bed.

The LED inside is warm-toned and deliberately low output, bright enough to navigate a room by without being enough to disturb sleep, and it runs cool so the piece is safe to pick up while lit. Wipe with a dry cloth rather than a damp one, which can dull the finish over time on painted panels.
