Sea Glass & Driftwood Coastal Wall Art

This is assembled rather than printed. Pieces of sea glass and driftwood are arranged into bird forms inside a frame, so the picture has real depth and casts small shadows of its own, which a flat print on paper cannot do however well it is photographed.

Sea glass is the interesting material here. Its softened edges and clouded surface are the result of years in moving water, and the colors are whatever the original glass happened to be, so no two arrangements use quite the same palette.

The result suits coastal and natural schemes without being literal about it: there is no lettering, no anchors and no nautical rope, just natural material arranged into a recognizable shape. Hang it out of direct sunlight, which fades driftwood over time, and dust with a soft dry brush rather than a cloth, which can catch on the raised elements.
