Bedside Wall Sconce with Reading Light

This fitting solves the most common bedroom lighting argument: one person wants to read, the other wants the room dark. A main E27 lamp provides ambient light, and a separate directional reading head is switched independently, so each function can be used on its own.

The reading head is on a flexible or pivoting arm depending on the variant, so its narrow beam can be aimed precisely at a page. Because that beam is contained, it puts light on the book and very little anywhere else, which is the whole point of having it separate.

Mounted at the wall the fitting frees the bedside table completely, and both switches sit on the body within easy reach from the pillow rather than by the door. The main lamp takes a standard screw-fit bulb of your choosing. This is a hard-wired fitting: isolate the circuit at the breaker panel before installation, and have a qualified electrician carry out the work if you are not confident with house wiring.
